What To Expect
When is the trip?
The Monday after Father's Day starts our trip every year. The trip is seperated into five weeks with each group usually volunteering one week of their time.
Travel and Expenses
Each person is responsible for their own expenses, including transportation to and from and room and board while they are there. Every effort is made to help keep expenses down. Many churches want to have a part in this mission effort by helping to pay expenses of their members who go.
Where will we stay?
We stay in motels as close to the work site as reasonably possible. There are times when we build where some housing is available with church members or families. Each person is responsible for their own motel room, though we do try to negotiate as low a rate as possible for group housing.
Food
Starting with Monday morning breakfast, we serve three meals a day with popsicle snacks throughout friday at lunch. The cost is $30 for adults and $15 for children under 12. Do not plan on losing weight! Our cooks feed you like you were a king or queen. We also furnish Gatorade and cold water for the duration of the trip.
Fellowship
During meal times we have a time of fellowship with one another. This time is reserved to build new friendships, share testimonies and have a few laughs. Usually during the week we make time for a talent show to share the good times that we have had throughout the week. Be prepared to work, build friendships and share alot of laughter.
